High blood pressure often has no symptoms — but the risks are very real. The Self-Monitoring Blood Pressure Program gives you the tools to track your blood pressure from home, so you can stay on top of your heart health between doctor visits.
Program participants receive a free blood pressure monitor and guidance on how to use it properly. You'll be encouraged to check your blood pressure twice a day — once in the morning and once in the evening — and record your readings in a log. Health department staff may follow up with you to review your numbers and connect you with care if needed.
This program is available through our local health department at no cost. If you have been diagnosed with high blood pressure or are at risk, ask us about enrolling today.
